Day 4

Day Four is dedicated to Ready Responders. The people in your community that are there for you in an emergency.

Did you know, emergency service volunteers participate in training programs, drills, and exercises? These help them to develop necessary skills, knowledge, and coordination before a crisis occurs.

This preparation ensures that they can respond effectively when an emergency arises. It also builds their understanding of potential risks and hazards in their communities.

This knowledge allows them to take preventive action, ultimately making the community more resilient.

During emergencies, the situation can be chaotic and hazardous. Without proper training and equipment, people may put themselves and others at risk. So, it’s important to volunteer ahead of time to receive the necessary training.

Imagine being able to help your community in an emergency. Volunteer with the emergency services and you’ll gain skills that could save someone’s life.

We welcome all ages and backgrounds, provide all training, and have on-ground and behind-the-scenes roles too.

If you want to be part of a team that makes a difference, call the Volunteer Recruitment Hotline on 1300 364 587.
